Download the PNG, put it on a light background with clear space around it, and print it at least 2 cm across for cards and 5 cm for signs. How do I write a UAE mobile number in a WhatsApp link?
Drop the leading 0 and put 971 in front: 050 123 4567 becomes wa.me/971501234567. Type it with the 0 and spaces if you like; the tool removes them. Landlines follow the same rule, so 04 123 4567 becomes 97141234567.
Can I use WhatsApp Business in the UAE, and does calling work?
Yes. The free WhatsApp Business app works with a UAE number and the link format is the same as for a personal account; the Business app adds a profile with hours and location, a catalogue and automatic replies. Messaging works normally. Voice and video calls over WhatsApp have been restricted in the UAE at times, so promote the link for chat and give a phone number for calls.
What is a wa.me link?
It is WhatsApp's official click-to-chat link. It looks like wa.me/14375550123 and opens a chat with that number in the WhatsApp app, or in WhatsApp Web on a computer.
Does the customer need to save my number first?
No. Tapping the link or scanning the code opens the chat directly. Your business name and profile photo appear once you reply.
Can I use this with WhatsApp Business?
Yes. The link format is the same for WhatsApp Business and regular WhatsApp. If you use WhatsApp Business, you can also set a greeting message that sends automatically when a new customer writes.
How do I add the link to Instagram or my Google Business Profile?
Copy the link, then paste it into the website field of your Instagram bio or as a button link in your Google Business Profile. On your own website, use it as the address of a "Chat on WhatsApp" button.
Does the QR code expire?
No. The code only contains the link, so it keeps working for as long as that number is on WhatsApp. If you change your number, generate and print a new code.
Is this free, and do you keep my number?
